County of Brant –

You may not have heard of the County of Brant but there is a lot to do and a lot to see in this little town! Their forests speak for themselves once you’ve seen their sights.

This town is a great way to get in touch with nature. Garth, the head tour guide on our Grand River Rafting tour, provided some great insight on the flora and fauna species that live in that area of Ontario. There are 83 species of fish in their waters, a wide range of wildlife (such as; mountain lions, coyote, black bear, raccoon, wolves, and so many more) just to name a few. He was a great guide and provided so much information that I probably could not get myself about this beautiful place.

Not only was the tour very informative but it was also FUN! They provide games to build on teamwork and also provide activities to make you think on how you would survive in the wild. For example: Garth told us that there is a game they provide where they give you a book of matches, tin foil, and an egg. The object is to build a fire, make a pot and cook the egg; the first one to cook the egg WINS.

My overall experience coming to Paris was extraordinary! I would love to come back with a group of my friends and show them just how fun this place is! This place is not only just a little town, but a town that takes pride in their beautiful forests and to preserve their wildlife that lives within it. Please take the time and visit this place. I am positive you will not regret it!
